O'Fallon Carpet Cleaning Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the benefits of carpet cleaning?

A. Regular carpet cleaning has a lot of benefits for homeowners Most carpet warranties require professional cleaning every 12-18 months. Carpets tend to get dirty so gradually that we don’t really notice how filthy they have become, and thoroughly cleaning a carpet can get it back to looking new again. This improved appearance can really brighten up your home. Carpets also trap a large amount of dirt, dust, pet hair, and other contaminants that get kicked up into the air as people walk on the carpets. As a result, cleaning your carpets of these contaminants leads to greatly improved air quality in your home.

Q. Will you move my furniture while cleaning my carpets?

A. Typically, we will move small articles of furniture like coffee tables and chairs, but we do ask the customer to remove breakable items prior to our arrival. We can move larger and heavier pieces, but we will discuss those with the customer. We do ask that the customer pre-vacuum the carpet and or pieces of furniture to be cleaned. We will place protectors under the pieces of furniture that require them. These protectors should stay under the furniture for 24 hours.

Q. How long will it take for my carpet to dry after you finish cleaning it?

A. Drying time is extremely variable, depending on the type of carpet, humidity of the air, the temperature, and the airflow in the room. Carpets can dry in as little as four hours or take up to a full 24 hours. If you want to accelerate the drying time, using fans or turning on the heating or air conditioning can help speed up the process.

Q. Can you remove pet odors from my carpeting?

A.As much as we love our furry family members, they can really do a number on carpeting. If you have been scrubbing at a pet stain, unsuccessfully trying to remove the odor, then you should call New Look Corp.. Although we do use state of the art treatments, some pet urine odors may not fully remove. This is caused when urine penetrates through the carpet and pad and even into the sub floor. A thorough, professional cleaning will help tremendously, but some stains and odors are permanent.
